HOW TO MAKE A AIR VAIRABLE SMALLER IN VAULE.
So maybe one of the panel mount air vairables here is not what you are looking for. Maybe you want or need a different vaule? No problem..you can fix that easy.
See examples in photos below on how to do it..alwasy start at end of air vairable..( not up by body )You will need a cap meter so you can see where you are at. I would just take 1 or 2 plates off at at time untill you get to where you want to be.
You can just cut off the part of air vairable you took plates off of if it bothers you.
Just check out the photos below and it pretty much shows you what to do.

Here is a very nice well built dual section Poly varicon capacitor
Each section is 12-280pf
Put in Parallel you have a 15pf-560pf approx air vairable
Look at the photo of the capacitor and you will see on left tab a plus sign and on the right side a plus sign and the middle tab a minus sign.
To hook the 2 sections in Paralle..run a wire from left postive tab to the right postive tab.
Then you just use 1 side of the 2 connected plus sides and the center neg side and you have the 15pf-560pf approx capacitor.
Most of you all ready know this..but this is presented to those that did not and also the caps are marked for those that do not have a cap meter.
