Cleaning Copper Clad Circuit Board
So you have some copper pc board that you need to clean and you are just not wanting to get the steel wool out or the scuff pad and work your butt off cleaning a piece of Pc Board?I have done the steel wool thing and hate it, also done the steel wool and scuff pad with ajax or other cleanser and hate that also... Here is a easy way to clean pc board. Just take some of that lime a way you have under your sink and place your board in the sink and spray some lime a way on the board.....let sit for about 30 seconds..take your scrub pad and rub board a little and then rinse with warm or cold water. Use lots of water and rinse well..then take paper towel and dry board and you be surprized how clean..how bright your piece of board is. This takes all of about 3-5 minutes and results are well worth it in my mind. Look at photo below...you see 1/2 nice and bright and other half kind of ugly and not bright......you can also see the splash marks from the spray lime away. They were left there on purpose to show how fast this works. If you use this way to clean board...protect your eyes and hands the same as if you was doing a nice honey do for your wife and cleaning them faucets and sink. Disclaimer: This is how I clean circuit board...If you use this way... then you the user take full responsiblity for your actions.
NOTE:I did not scrub the example board in photo..Just sprayed some lime away on and rinsed off with rag...with a little scrubbing that black mark you see on board would have come right off.
